****Welcome to all experts to join in discussion **** I have a case about a an Investment (private limited )company which maintaining books of account on mercantile basis. But company records income on receipt basis from April to Feb and in the month of march a consolidate receivable from April to Feb is recorded and for month of march on receivable basis. my question is that is this practice of following cash basis accounting for 11 month and in March remaining receivable on consolidate basis i.e.(receivable less received) and for only month of march on pure receivable basis is Correct ??? Means following cash basis accounting for 11 months and Accrual basis accounting in month of march is correct or it will be treated as hybrid system. Is there any clarification from ICAI or Department for following accrual basis accounting through out the year? Pls join in discussion

It is pathetic on us to see the socalled “RESOLVED QUERIES” in (1) Expert Section (2) Forum Section and (3) Blog Section. There are queries just attempted with no substance, are categorized immediately as ‘RESOLVED”., which leads our community to wrong direction. The (1) Core team and (2) Loyal members of “CA CLUB INDIA”, need to give their precious time and analyze the “RESOLVED QUERIES”, and see that the members of CA CLUB INDIA are on right path. Else with wrong/misleading RESOLVED QUIERIES / ANSWERS, many may be at ECONOMIC LOSSES, in turn may see this CA CLUB INDIA at an awkward situation. I request you all to focus your attention on this issue, if you feel this grievance is genuine. Pardon me, if it hurts the sentiments of some of our fraternity. Thanking you. good morning sir, i am a ca student, i have passed cpt of dec 2008 attempt with 109 marks(without maths), it was my ist attemp. now ihave opt ipcc, my coaching of ipcc is starting from 2 april 2009(in bareily), i am appearing for only group ist. sir i want from u to give me some tips & tricks & specially what will be my study time table to qualify group ist in ist attempt. plz help me in preparing my study time table, i will be very grateful to you.
