28 September 2011 No, direct tax code will not be applicable for May, 2012 exams. Finance Act 2011 shall be applicable.

28 September 2011 direct tax code only proposed at now. DTC not applicable in india at present. it may be applicable in future period e.i. 2012 or 2013.

07 October 2011 The direct tax code has still not been implemented. It is proposed to be implemented from the FY 2012-13. It is proposed to be presented in the Budget 2012.

So, the same will not be applicable for May, 2012 exams.

Budget 2011 will be applicable.
