Dear Sir/Madam
I have one doubt for TDS deduction for rent
my rental agreement mentioned rent Rs : 25000 and Maintenance Rs 2000 , we paid cheque Rs 27000
How to calculate TDS Rs : 25000x10% or 27000x10% which is correct ?

I have one query.,
A Private Ltd company taken a rented premises for using office and factory. The rent paid 3 parties they are Joint holder of property TDS deducted all the three members...
Also another one premises taken for rent but only one landlord and She is one of the above 3 members. payment only Rs. 3000/month...
In this rent TDS will be deductible or not...?
(But, i reffered no need deduct TDS for the 3K. Am I correct or wrong)

TDS should be deducted on Rs. 27,000/- as rent in itself includes any maintenance charges if both are paid to the owner of property.
The same position was clarified by CBDT vide Circular No. 715 dated 8-8-1995 and interpreted by The Punjab & Haryana High Court (HC) that maintenance charges received in relation to the property should have been included within the ambit of “rent".
