Dear Sir,
I want to know the difference between paid assisstant in a CA firm and an employee in a CA firm.
What are their roles and how do they differ in terms of their titles given?

These differences have emerged from the BIG 4s. While an employee satisfies the rule of employment employee, the paid assistant may fall u/s 194J. Rolewise there is no difference as such.
