There is no particular method for charging depreciation on fixed assets. If differs from company to company and even in the same industry there are different methods used for charging dep. Also somethimes one company does choose both WDV & SLM for some of its assets and on some assets provisions of AS - 26 on intangible assets apply. So there is no one best solution for your query.
