06 May 2015 Dear Sir,

I recently received a notice from IT for AY 2013-14 informing that the return is invalid. The reason given is " Tax determined as payable in ROI filed has not been paid". My question is what is the amount of tax payable they are referring to? How do I find out? There is no previous communication from department. Please advice.

06 May 2015 Make sure that you had no tax payable at the time of filing return although if it would have been the case the return could not have been filed. You may also contact CPC on their helpline number regarding the issue or submit an online grievance.
