Dear Expert,
One of our client has paid insurance premium by cheque on 31/03/2014 it got cleared on 30/04/2015. Now i am filling return of him for fy 14-15 So, wanted to know that can i claim this payment deduction for fy 14-15 or for fy 13-14.
Note: He have received receipt dated 31/03/2014.

Yes, deduction can be claimed irrespective of date of cheque realization.
