Hi,
If a company is giving following allowances to its employees-
1) uniform maint allowance
2) helper allowance
3) conveyance allowance
can an employee claim tax benefit for the above allowances and if yes what documents has to be provided by the employee for the same.

1.Uniform allowance- based on production of bills to the amount exempted, balance is taxable, uniform maintaining ( purchasing, maintaining bills)
2. Helper allowance- If provided personal nature fully taxable, provided for the labour bills
3.Conveyance allowance based on the bills ( fuel, maintenance)

Uniform Allowance - Agree with Ramesh.
Helper Allowance - Agreed with Ramesh.
Conveyance Allowance - Only up to Rs 800 Allowed balance taxable. Production of conveyance bill is a reimbursment not allowance.
