24 July 2009 Death of ladies on 23rd September 2008. Some FDRs still continue in name of lady and intrest accrual continue still. Rent chequse are also receiving in in name of lady. Please let me know the following

1 AY 2009-10 Return of Husband & wife
2 Status of TDS refund lady
3 when did both balance sheet merged
4 Income accrual still in name of lady.

24 July 2009 Anil,

For AY. 09-10, hunsband needs to file the income tax return on behalf of spouse ass representative assessee.

Now afterwards, husband needs to make the following steps,

01. Get the FDs transferred on his name ( if he is the only nominee)
02. Transfer the property on his name & start taking rent chq's on his name.( if he is the only nominee)

If he is not only nominee then get the transfer done in the name of son/daughter (if minor). Otherwise again the clubbing provisions will attract & same will be taxable in his hands only.

26 July 2009 please guide for FY 09-10. whether half year return of wife will file.
