26 May 2012 Please help me in finding out the depreciation in trespect of the following block of assets: Computer in 60% Block
WDV as on 01.04.2011 - Rs.1 lakhs
Addition on 09.05.2011 - Rs.1 lakhs
Addition on 18.12.2011 - Rs. 1 lakhs
Deletion 12.09.2011 - Rs.30000/-

26 May 2012 Value of block before depreciation = Rs. 2,70,000

Depreciation chargeable at 50% = 1 lakh*30% = Rs. 30,000

On balance Rs. 1,70,000 = 1,70,000 *60% = Rs. 1,02,000

Total depreciation = Rs. 1,32,000
