When the companies are required to audited their accounts by a cost auditor or when cost audit is compolsory .

Cost Audit is compulsory under Section 233B when the company is engaged in manufacturing or processing of goods as specified under section 209 (1) (d) and such industry is specified by CG for conducting Cost audit.
