Cost Audit is compulsory under Section 233B when the company is engaged in manufacturing or processing of goods as specified under section 209 (1) (d) and such industry is specified by CG for conducting Cost audit.
cycles, cement, clinker, vanaspati are a few industries specified for the said purpose.
