Claiming 80c deductions

27 January 2018 I have a simple query in which I would like to know if a major son can claim deductions u/s 80C if he deposits contributions to his parents not senior citizens PPF accounts from his own income to claim 80C deductions.

28 January 2018 Only person who hold the PPF account can claim deduction under Chapter VIA. So elder major son not able to claim PPF contribution.
