09 January 2015 Dear Experts,

We wrongly Paid Service tax of "AB" Company instead of "BA" Company to Dept.with the accounting codes of "BA" company.Simply ST Number Is worng but Accounting codes are correct.what should we do?? amount is huge............need urgent reply

09 January 2015 Correction of challan in e-payment is not possible. Presently, refund is the only process available for the assessee in such cases. Hence, care needs to be taken while tendering e-payment of Central Excise Duties / Service tax.

Acutally i saw that before itself.but i heared somewhere that challan can be corrected if we consult the dept. is it possible??...if possible how to approch plz tell me....

09 January 2015 Such mistake happened in between our two units when we approached the dept they advised us to adjust in the next remittance. Any how you contact your jurisdictional central excise and service tax office.
