12 July 2013 Hello,
I am planning to buy a flat utilising the money in my Capital Gains account (opened after the sale of my previous property).
My Query:
Can the stamp duty and registration costs be taken from the Capital gains account ?
Will Bank issue such a draft for stamp duty/registration or are banks allowed to issue drafts only in the builder's name?

13 July 2013 I did not understand..in CGAS only banks can issue DD or cheques so will bank issue such a DD for stamp duty OR the only other option is that i issue chq from different bank a/c in which case the money is not utlised from the CGAS a/c

19 July 2013 you take DD of banker cheque in name of STamp duty authority
