Capital gain on sale of agri. land

19 October 2015 agri. land was situated in a village in Hingna Tahsil of Maharashtra. Dist. from tah. to village is more than 8 Kms. Population of the village is approx 2200. But the nearest gram panchayat is Butibori. Popylation of Butibori is more than 20000. The dist between Butibori and the village is just 205kms. Can the benefit of Tax exemtion on sale os such agri. land be claimed. Please advise.

20 October 2015 I dont think the Gram Panchayat or the tehsil is a municipality. In view of this the land is an agricultural land.
