I want to sold a self constructed flat and I want to claim cost of acquisition of ?20 lac (assume).
whether I have to submit proof of construction or whether Deptt will certify my value????

If called upon, you have to give proof or valuation certificate from an approved valuer. In other words your valuation alone will not suffice.
