Can the E-Way bill be generated after the invoice date

Quick Summary

E way bill can be generated after invoice date but must be created at the time of goods movement. Part A may be filled earlier, while Part B is completed before dispatch. Validity starts when Part B is entered, not from invoice date.

I have just made the bill but the goods will be sent after 15 days
Can it be made E-way bill after 15 days on previous invoice number & date.

29 December 2023 Yes, You can generate after the invoice date. But, it must be at the time of removal of goods.

29 December 2023 How many days after raising an invoice that one should generate the e Way bill for delayed delivery? The e-way bill is required at the time of delivery of goods only. So, if invoice is raised but goods are not delivered yet, then part-A can be generated on the e-way bill and Part-B details can be entered later on upon delivery. The validity of e-way bill begins when Part-B is entered.

30 December 2023 E-way Bill is supposed to be generated when there is movement of Goods, there might be cases where movement of goods have occassioned but invoice is made on later date, basically Invoice and e way bill are two different aspects !! Invoice is transfer of ownership of goods and E way bill of movement of goods
