An employee previously working in CA Firm has joined our company and now while paying salary we called for his Income statement in order to calculate tax deductible. ...
He says that no profession tax has been deducted by previous employer
So I want to know whether it is possible that previous employer hasn't deducted Prof. Tax...though he was earning enough salary

profession tax is state based and mostly slab wise applicable so check the law and his income statement
