30 October 2010 I AM WORKING IN AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY. WE HAVE PURCHASED A GENERATOR FOR OUR OFFICE PURPOSE AGAINST C FORM (PROMISED IN 2007 YR). BUT C FORM NOT YET ISSUED. NOW THE ISSUE IS CAN I ISSUE C FORM AGAIST PURCHASE OF GENERATOR? IF NOT WHY?. PLEASE CLARIFY BY VIEW OF IT SCRUTINY ALSO.

30 October 2010 C form can be issued from Sales Tax department. as per rule you should issue C form within one month from quarter ending. But in practical it is difficult as Sales Tax deptt persons can't issue immediately. in present case if Sales Tax Deptt is ready to issue C form for this. then you can issue C form to party. But talk to party if its Assessment is completed then it will not accept C form (as it is old case may be Assessment is over).

31 October 2010 C Form can be issued for only those goods which are mentioned in one's Registration certificate. If Generator is not mentioned in your R.C then no C form can be issued for its purchase. For more on C forms can refer at below link:

Income tax department has nothing to do with issue of C forms.
