Tds deducted late - what to do?

Debtor had not deducted TDS earlier on our Income for the F. Y. 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12. Now during his Assessment, Expenditure was disallowed for F. Y. 2009-10. Hence he is now deducting TDS for F. Y. 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Our company has already filed the Return for the above Financial Years and the current status of the same is as follows:

F. Y. 2009-10: Assessment u/s 143(3) complete
F. Y. 2010-11: Notice u/s 143(2) recieved, however last date for revising Return of Income is lapsed
F. Y. 2011-12: Return of Income filed and can be revised uptil March 31, 2014

The amount of TDS is huge.

What can be done for each Financial Year?

Cash prize to an employee is taxable

Dear Sir,
I am working as Development officer in LIC OF INDIA.In a competition floated by my organisation I have received a CASH AWARD of Rs.14500 yesterday.Our OS dept says that 30% income tax to be deducted from that cash award as I am in 30% slab.I said only 10% to be deducted.Plz clarify me in detail.

Donation to trust

Both are Charitable Trust and enjoy 80G and other Tax benfits.

One Trust conducts hospital - Medical Service only.

Another trust actvity as religious,educational,social & medical help ( Mix object )

Can Medical Trust donate to other trust as donation every year when both differ in their aims and object?.

Dear all
I want to file a ITR, the assessee has a Bank statement in Which only Cash deposited and ATM withdrawl is Clearly mentioned.
.Can i treat cash deposited money as a Agricultural Income or have to shown as other Income.
And ATM withdrawl money is withdrawn by his son for Study expense.

Like total Cash Deposited---Rs, 3,98,000
ATM Withdrawl Rs.Rs. 2,50,200

I AS A SALARIED PERSON DEDUCT TDS ON F.Y.-2010-11 BUT THE COMPANY WRONGLY DEPOSIT TDS FOR WRONG PAN BUT NOW THEY ARE DEPOSIT TDS AMOUNT.
QUESTION-1> CAN I CLAIM TDS NOW AS A SALARIED PERSON?
2> AS A NON SALARIED PERSON CAN I CLAIM TDS FOR THE F.Y.-2010-11?

Hi,

My income for the FY 2012-13 consists of salary from govt (192) (about 4 lac) & professional fees from pvt company (194J) (about 7 lac). In case of professional fees, 70,000 tax has been deducted at source u/s 194J (flat 10%).

Now I have to file ITR. Please suggest how do I go about it:

1. Can I keep salary as separate and professional fees as separate. Tax liability in this case is about 90600 (i.e 70,000 + 20600).
OR
Do I have to treat full income (11 lac) as lumpsum and calculate tax as per brackets ( 0-2 lac, 2-5 lac, 5-10 lac, >10 lac). Tax liability in this case is about 164800.


2. Which return form(s) do I have to file ?

3. Any other advice to save on tax.

Status

hello sir
i had filled my form on 25th at 10 a.m.
and make the payment too of rs.1200 from net banking
amount also deducted from my account
but i have not recieved any details regarding my enrollment that i had regisered or not
my reg. no. is 221044087/02/2011
i had details also of making the payment
sir plss help me out

Order u/s 143(3) recd yesterday, wherein in the Income Tax Computation Form under Notice of Demand u/s 156, short credit for TDS was granted. There was no discussion on TDS during the course of Assessment.

What is to be done now?

Should an appeal be filed just for short grant of a small amount of TDS?
