Dear Experts,

I request your help with a query. I was served with a 142(1)/ 143/ 147 notice in March 2019. The proceedings went on till end of May 2019 - when a final 'Nil' demand order was recently received (hardcopy). However, in my online login, under the Tab "e-proceedings", the status of the case under "Proceeding Status" still shows as "Open".

I informed this to the AO who says there is nothing pending from their (Income Tax department) side as the proceedings are closed in his system. What should be done to close the case online also - to show the 'Proceeding Status" as "closed"?

Thanks a lot for your kind hep.

Itr

If an advocate is at retainership of a law firm and does not do much of its own work, and does get paid monthly retainership. Also, his TDS is deducted under 194J, which ITR would he be filing? If it is ITR 4, what details he can give under capital, creditors and Debtors.
