What is the meaning of the word Chartered in the word Chartered Accountant and why is it used so???

I was from CA foundation stream ,begin my articleship after passing CA foundation and was joined PEE II. I have cleared group -I in may 2005 (PE II) and IPCC unit 8 in Nov 2010.I never did ITT traning before conversion to IPCC as it was not complusory for me then
can any body tell me:

1. Do i have to do any ITT training of 100 hrs or so before appearing for CA Final or registering for CA Final ?

2. Can i directly pay the fee and register as CA-Final student ?

3. Will I be eligible or can appear for CA final Nov 2011 attempt if i register for CA Final now ?

I HAVE FILLED FORM 108 ON DATE02-JUNE. BT NO REPLY SINCE.NOW THEY SAYS THAT ADP LEAVE PENDING. CAN ANYBODY TELL WHAT IT MEANS

My 4 years registration is over and I have to re register in PCC but i m confused because i dont know the result. I have given second group of PCC and waiting for result. What should I do?

I have got the Exemption in 1st Group in 2 subjects. I have got such exemption in May-2011 so can i avail the same for both d subjects in next exam of Nov -2011? There is confusion that it cant be avail in both papers of a group simulteniously????????

Change of pattern of Graduates students are directly entery to ipcc level and Articleship
This change of Articleship without passing group 1 can applicable to me? .I am b.com graduate and condition of 60% marks I completed. conversion is possible?

question:a plane costs 1500 lacs to manufacture and exhibits an 85%learning curve .calculate the cost of each of the first five planes.
cost of first 5 planes:
answer : 1. 1500 lacs*1.000 = 1500lacs
2 1500lacs*0.8500 = 1275lacs
3 1500lacs*0.7730 = 1159.5lacs
4 1500lacs*0.7230 = 1084.5lacs
5 1500lacs*0.6860 = 1029lacs
my doubt is how did the numbers 1.000,.8500,.7730,.7230,.6860 come........how to get those numbers????if anyon eknows the answer..please explain in detail....
