Manufacturing activity

Dear Sir, My client is a private limited company engaged in providing manufacturing services(blending and packing of tea). My client is supplied the black tea of various grades along with the mixing formula. The activities performed by my client are to blend the tea according the given formula,pack it in marketable pouches and further pack it in distributable cartons. All raw material(tea and packing material) is supplied by the principal for whom the service is provided. For performing these services my client is paid manufacturing and packing charges. Whether this manufacturing charge is subject to service tax.

Regarding service tax

if a professional providing his service in india but but service receiver are forgein people.
and they paid his consultancy in there currency (transfer in account).
is this service under EXPORT OF SERVICE.
or there is liability of service tax?
please tell me

he is a lecturer in his lecture held in india and Service tax Registration Under Management or Bussiness Consultant Service & Technical inspection and certification Service and those attend his lecture they are forgein . and pay in their same currency.

IF ANY EXCESS AMOUNT IS RECEIVED AGAINST BILL AMOUNT, THEN IS IT COMPULSORY FOR SERVICE PROVIDER TO RAISE BILL FOR THAT EXCESS AMOUNT?

Reverse charge mechanism-rent a cab

As per the details of Reverse Charge mechanism, When the service provider avails benefit of abatement provided under notification 26/2012 - ST (Supra) i.e. calculate tax @ 4.944% (12.36 * 40%) then 100% liability of payment of service tax lies on the service Provider.

In case of my client who is a service receiver from a Rent a cab operator, the service provider avails benefit of abatement and and raised a bill for rs. 1000/-. Now, tell me how much amount is payable towards service tax by my my client.

1. 1000*12.36%= 123.60 OR
2. 400* 12.36%= 49.44

Taxability of services

The negative list came in force from 1/07/2012. So if a person is providing services from 1/4/2012 then, what amt of services will be taxable?
a) the total of services from 1/4/12 or
b) the services served after 1/7/2012?

Reverse charge

Reverse Charge under Service Tax -
X ltd takes a construction contract from Y and sub contracts the work to Z.
Initially, in this Case even though X Ltd is a Service Provider. Will X Ltd become a Service Receiver if he sub contracts the work to Z???
