HI, I m ca final student. i cleared my 1st group in nov 2010, appearing for my second in may 2011..after that i want to start up with a job. my area of interest is equity research...plz help me whether there is any short duration equity research course and will it help me to get a job??? plz guide me..

cleared my final exams in nov. 2010.
I've got a job offer in a reputed construction company in gurgaon.. position is 'Assistant Manager- Finance & Accounts' package is good..i always wanted to work in a good company but the only thing is I dont know whether i should start my career working in a construction comp. would it help me in my career..or should i wait for any other offer..
plzzz give me some suggestions..

Barathiar University, joining hands with ICAI (through a memorandum of understanding) has a B Com, which requires CA Inter passed students to write and pass only in 3 or 4 papers.

On the other hand, B Com from University of Madras requires around 17 papers to be passed.

As an employer, will both be valued as same ?

As I am pursuing articleship, there are no chances for me to go for a regular college B Com. so, Which is advisable, of the two above ?

I am a practicing Company Secretary. And wanted to go apply for the National Eligibility Test (NET). I am graduate from Delhi University. And not sure whether CS will be considered as Masters Degree for the NET Exams.

Hi Friends,
I am a recently passed CA. I have an intense desire to get COP and Practice.But I have got a lot of demotivating suggestions from many of my friends.
But a couple of days back one of my friends who is the son of a Practicing CA suggested me to practice.He told that number of CAs coming to practice is very few and the number of opportunities are growing heavily. If I start Practice in your opinion how long will it take to get established ?
I would also like to know what is retainer ship?
