Hi, I seek guidance as I am in CS finals and wish to pursue CFA and actuarial science. I wish to move in stock market and work as quantitative analyst popularly known as quant in stock market. Kindly suggest if choosing CFA and actuary will help me get an edge in investment industry.

I've come to know about Actuaries from AS-15. Since then I have accessed on internet & heard from friends that it's a high rewarding & prestigious career. But i guess it might not be so. Here i would welcome the Experts of Market & Industry to share their knowledge about Actuarial Career such as Demand of Actuary in Insurance Companies as well as in Network Firms, Intial Salary Packages, Best Recruiters etc. Any reference to Reliable source of information would also be appreciated. I have completed my CA in August 2013. But recently i have to move to California USA temporary due to my husband short term (1 year or 2 year max) transfer.

I am on dependent visa and also have a year old child. I can't work here but can do study. So to maximum utilize my time i am thinking of some courses like transfer pricing or IFRS or any internationally recognized courses.

Can you please suggest me some courses and corresponding colleges which do have value in India and help me in my career further.

I am a CA Final Student and results awaited. I have not any knowledge about SAP, Oracle, etc function. and I want to make a career in ERP, then how is it possible. Please help me. Is it necessary to first learn the SAP function to make career as SAP Consultant?
