I Purchase some raw material & booked cenvat credit on the same.


Meanawhile this Raw Material is found defective and return to supplier UNDER AN INVOICE and excise duty is charged on the same invoice.


now what we hav treatment of Cenvat credit(which we hav shown on purchase return voucher)

1.It should be shown as excise duty payable?
OR

2. should it be adjusted from input cenvat?

OR

3. some other treatmen.

plz provide solid Base(Rule/ Section Etc.)

There is a firm which sells unstiched punjabi suits. It make some job work on it like embroidery, screening, cutting etc.

So whether that firm will liable for the Excise duty as the Budget announced on 28-02-2011?

If yes then which rate will be applicable?

My turnover upto 28th February 2011 is Rs.80 Lacs and my items are covered in 130 items list. My query is that :
1) Whether it is mandatory for me to take registration under Central Excise or not.

2) If it is mandatory for me, then on what sales figure I have to charge 1% as excise duty.

3) What will be the status of SSI exemption which is available upto 150 Lacs sales.

waht is the difference between excise and cousto duty.and what their slab rates.

We are Regitred under Central Excise.
we have sent one machine to a customer,an approved basis,under annexure challan-II,
Now the customer wants to purchase and keep the machine.

can we raise the invoice with out receiving back to machine.if so how can we close the annexure.please help me.

Can one apply for a IEC online? Is the issued IEC a physical certificate or just a number? If applied online does it come to the company address via mail? How long does the process take if all documents are in order?
