Excise duty exemption on ssi

Sir, We are a SSI unit manufacturing Packaging materials for various other companies, right now our turnover is around 1 crore and as such we have not registered under excise, we expect the turnover to double from the next financial year what are we supposed to do.
Also please elaborate on this term
First slab of 150 lakhs - There is full exemption from excise upto the first clearances of Rs. 150 lakhs, starting from 1st April every year,
Second slab after initial 150 lakhs - After the turnover crosses Rs. 150 lakhs, full normal duty is payable. The SSI unit can avail Cenvat credit on inputs in respect of inputs used after turnover crosses Rs 150 lakhs.

i am not able to understand this. presently we purchase raw materials from a dealer who is under excise, he gives us a excise invoice but we do not claim modvat. What are the changes we have to do in case we need to avail the modvat. Does full exemption from excise mean that the said dealer should give us the material without charging excise duty to us. Kindly clarify

Excise duty on footwear for traders

M/s A co . pvt. ltd.,is an importer of footwear. Now it wishes to enter into the domestic trade. It is planning to purchase footwears from the local small time manufacturers for further sales in local market. It will repack the footwear and put its brand name on the footwear. I have some specific queries
1. If it pays excise duty on purchses to the manufacturers, then is it compulsary to get the excise registration for ACo. Pvt. Ltd?
2. Can it purchase the footwear from the small time manufacture who are not registered with excise i.e.without paying excise and further pay total excise duty on its own name? If yes under which section or notification?
3. Does it make difference if it provides raw materials to the manufacturere on job work basis.
Best Regards

Rg1 register

Wanted a confirmation wether the register is to be generated datewise - all items put together or each item datewise.

Also need to clarify if there has been no production or sale i.e. no transactions for a particular day still we have to show that day as a record with zero production or removal?

And also wheather we have to maintain register according to tariff wise (which means domestic, export (CT1 & UT) in single register ) or seperate for domestic & export CT1 & export UT

Please confirm

Passing the excise gate pass

Hello,

I am a dealer and supplying products to industries. we have excise able products also. while giving the excise gate pass one can know the purchase cost.
so is there any way or modification in raising the invoice to hide the purchase cost and buyer can take benefit of excise-able amount without knowing the difference.
