Partnership act- retirement deed

A partnership firm registered in 2007 with three partners. Later on in 2009 they made a retirement deed on plain paper without paying any stamp duty.And the same retirement deed is not registered with Registrar of firms.

So whether this retirement deed on Plain paper is valid if they are ready to pay the stamp duty now?

Hi everyone. I have completed my 1.5 years of articleship and have met with an accident and I have taken 6 months leave, but still I have not recovered. So can take 1 year break and then continue my articleship? And if any one knows the procedure to take a helper for exams pls let know.
