hey guys a bit new in this profession but wanted to know how to check a co. background

You may take the help of MCA website i.e. www.mca.gov.in
By paying a nominal fee of Rs. 100 you can download balance sheet, profit and loss for past years along with annual return and documents related to change in management.
I would suggest you to get in touch with a CA or CS firm or your friend who known about online inspection on MCA site.
