If the basic pay of an employee in reduced during the year . for example basic in the month of June was RS 8000, now from July 2010 is reduced to Rs 7500/-
so the contribution to EPF will reduced .
so reduction towards PF contribuion will have any statutory obligation

Can a PPF a/c of an HUF which matured on 31-03-2010 be continued (not extended) without making any further deposit, just to earn the tax free interest on the balance amount.

I have a PPF a/c in the name of my HUF which matured on 31-03-2010. I hear the ppf a/c's of HUF are not to be extented for a further period of 5 years as per government circular. However on application, my bank has extended my account. Can I be denied interest on the balance amount by the bank later on giving the reason that the account was extended by mistake. What should I do ?
