Can a Company hold the next board meeting within a period of one week from the previous one?
Can there be more than four board meetings in a year?

The requirement of four board meeting is minimum not the maximum.
There is no limit on maximum no. of board meeting.

Yes, you are free to call Board Meeting with in a week. The Companies Act, 1956 has no restrictionon calling of Board meeting you can call per every day a Board Meeting of the company in accordance with your company's Articles.
In case of listed company, there are some pre condition for calling of Board Meeting.
