25 May 2010 Dear Friends,
I am only B.COM., I am working as a chief accountant in Pvt Ltd concern. I want to work as a Tax Consultant. Can I file Income tax returns on line behalf of some others (my clients). If it is possible what is the procedure. Will any body can guide me please.

25 May 2010 You can file the return of your clients by loging into the e filing portal using the user id and pass word of your clients.

For all practical purpose, the return would be deemed to have been filed by your clients themself.

There is no system of filing return by one on behalf of other.

25 May 2010 Agreed. you can file the return. Even there is a scheme of tax return preparer from Govt. You can aply for that

26 May 2010 Current statistics show that TRP scheme is not a success. An assessee look for tax experts, not a person, who can simply prepare a return.
