01 September 2012 dear sir.
one of my client lost his record in rain n i m unable to finalized his account accurately, i need advice which point i mention in audit report regarding disclaimer of opinion.

02 September 2012 You cannot sign any audit report without verifying the books of accounts. However, if books of acocunts exists, then you signed the audit report by putting a note that the supporting records are not available and it is told that the same are lost.

06 September 2012 Audit is done of account and if that only is not available the what we can vouch or verify or audit??
Regarding finalizing the accounts try to get as much information possible from various sources...
like bank statement, Statement of sales and purchase on credit basis from Debtors and creditors etc and try to prepare accounts...
