28 November 2013 Hi I am in a mid-sized firm now.. what kind of advantages does a mid sized firm intern has in employment..? I do know that big4's intern has an edge in this regard.. but I just wanna know the magnitude.. I mean are they way ahead of mid sized firm students as far as the professional competence is concerned..?

28 November 2013 well in the current market, big 4 intern will carry a larger premium...however, given that Big 4 intern has a higher salary expectation, a mid-size intern can compete with lower salary expectations.

nevertheless, I firmly believe that mid-size firms are the right grooming grounds for interns. For eg, one of the best EY tax litigation guy comes from a mid-size firm.
