Applicability of st on loading vehicle on month basis

26 September 2015 Dear experts,
our company is engaged in steel business therefore the company has hired some heavy loading vehicle (truck) and some non heavy vehicle. this both type of vehicle has hired on month basis some vehicle form transport company and some from individual person. i Have two query regarding this...
(1)weather company is liable to pay ST vehicle hired form transport company on month basis for both non heavy and heavy
(2)weather company is liable to pay ST vehicle hired both non heavy and heavy form individual on month basis however this individual person is not registered in ST...........

26 September 2015 Service Tax is payable. In fact Service Tax on transportation of goods is required to be paid by the service receiver.
Transporter is not required to pay service tax, or get registered with ST department. The liability to pay ST is on the service receiver.
