Applicability of service tax on job work of diamond cutting

One of my client is providing job work in relation to diamond cutting. Will he be liable to pay service tax if the turnover exceeds the prescribed limit?

04 March 2015 If Diamond cutting is treated as manufacturing activity and excise duty is paid on it by the person giving the job work (usually done), no further service tax is payable. If no excise duty is paid service tax is payable.
