Is Proprriotorship firm liable to registered under Excise??, if it is engaged in Plastic manufacturing item but also having trading business

Yes, excise duty will be applicable on proprietorship firm also. duty will be applicable on process amounts to manufacturing not in trading activity.

The SSI exemption will be available to all units upto 1.5cr turnover.
