07 August 2011 good morning to all expert,
can any 1 tell me about bonus calculation.
my salary structure are given below.
basic- 21007
hra 40%- 8403
transport allowances -800
madical allowances - 1250
gross salary - 31460

that this my calculation of bonus
31460/12- 2622

than sir it is right or wrong

07 August 2011 yes ur calculation is right. Bonus is calculated @ 8.33% per month on gross salary

07 August 2011 As per bonus act component of bonus is basic salary + D.A only
and mininmum 8.33% of above total but company can give maximum upto 20% .

some exception are there if company new established..

07 August 2011 In my knowledge, bonus act is not applicable to employees drawing salary of more than 10000 p.m. while your salary is in excess of the said amount.

07 August 2011 Salary for the purpose of Bonus is Basic + DA.

In your case it is 21007.

So minimum bonus is 1750.

Maximum is 4200.

Than Sir When I will Calculation Of Bonus Than I will Include In My salary Only Basic
And Da And Not Add Transport Allowances And Madical Allowance.

07 August 2011 No other allowances or incentives or perquisites shall be included in the salary for the purpose of calculation of bonus.

07 August 2011 Food allowance can be included. or if the employer gives food free of cost the the amount of the food should be included.
