Does the Chairman of an AGM need to stepdown if a resolution for reappointment of his son as whole time director of the Company needs to be passed in the meeting? Please provide precedence if any.

The provision of interested director will not apply on general meeting as apply on Board Meeting.

No need to stepdown of Chareman for his son appointment at annual general meeting.

One more think, the details if interest is shown in explanatory statement because it is mandatory to show that the director are interested or not in proposed resolution.
