18 March 2026 Sir.
Due to medical treatment of owner, unable to pay advance tax Q4 with in the mar 26.
Let's me know if paid with in Mar 31, is there any benefit with in respect of interest.
Please advise.

18 March 2026 The fourth installment of advance tax for FY 2025-26 (AY 2026-27) is due by March 15, 2026, covering 100% of the required amount for non-presumptive taxpayers. Missing this triggers 1% per month interest under Section 234C on the shortfall (100% minus prior payments), but only for one month if paid by March 31. For presumptive taxation under Sections 44AD/44ADA, the full amount is due by March 31.

Interest Benefits
Payment by March 31 caps Section 234C interest at 1% on the Q4 shortfall, with no further deferment interest accruing. It also helps meet the 90% total advance tax threshold by March 31, avoiding 1% monthly interest under Section 234B from April 1 until full tax payment (e.g., during ITR filing). This minimizes overall interest compared to paying after March 31.
