In a Pvt Ltd Company incorporated under co. act 1956 what are the limitations of an Additional Director. I have noticed that there is no option provided in eForms of MCA 21 for designation of Additional Director at DSC signing field. It means that an Additional Director cannot sign any eForms of his company. PL. clarify
Section 291 of the Companies Act, give general powers to the directors of the company as per requirements. The use of DSC is one of them for filing E-forms with ROC and other regulatories.
In case a person is appointed as additional director then such appointed additional director can not authorise himself/herself to use own digital for filing Form-32. Only other director will use their signature for Form-32.

Thanks, but my query is that whether he/she can sign other eforms (except own eform 32) if yes then why the designation of Additional Director not been provided in any eform at the signing field
Yes, he can sign other forms except own form. Yes, additional director, alternate director nominee director Managing director or whole time director is called formerly as director.
In companies Act, 1956 only few category is given as signatory like: Director, Managing Director or Secretary/Manager.
Any of the above person can use their signature on behalf of the company to sign e-forms.
