Additional director is to hold office only upto the date of next annual general meeting.
In a public limited company can an additional director be again appointed as an additional director in the coming AGM.

The power of appointment of Additional Director is at Board Meeting so it can not be appoint at AGM/GM.

Let it be board meeting but can an additional director be again appointed as an additional director after expiry of its term as additional director.

There is no enabling provision in the Companies Act to re-appoint an additional director at the ensuing AGM, the only thing is that he ceases to hold office as additional director if he is not regularised at the AGM.

I will suggest you to appoint such person again as additional director after an AGM for this you can call a Board meeting on AGM date. There is no prohibition of appointment of Additional Director after AGM.
