07 February 2016 A resident citizen earns yearly pension of Rs.2 lakhs.FD income of Rs.2 lakhs.Can he fill up form 15H for non-deduction of TDS on FD income?

10 February 2016 Yes,you can give 15H if you are super senior citizen as your income not exceeds basic exemption .

10 February 2016 Sir,I'm speaking about a case where the resident citizen is between 60 to 80 years.Basic exemption limit for him would be 3 lakhs,and his total income is Rs.4 lakhs.Then can he fill up form 15H?

11 February 2016 You can submit 15H if your tax liability is nil.(etc:-if u have savings in 80C for 10 lakhs and above)

You cannnot submit 15H if you get tax liability.
