My elder brother gave nominee of his gratuities amount to our mother, age about 75 and doesn''t have PAN.
After his death she got huge amount, she wants to make a Fixed Deposit. But interest earn would be taxable. As I said she doesn;t have PAN she won't be able to give 15G.
Need some expert suggestion, what should we do?

Pl take PAN card. If the interest income doesn't exceed the 'maximum amount not chargeable to tax' give Form 15 H to the depository.
