I have a doubt regarding sec.143(2).Regarding serving of notice,does is it state that no notice shall be served after expiry of 6 mths from end of month in which return is filed or 6 mths from end of financial year in which return is filed????Pls answer my query ???

It is 6 months from the end of the F.Y in which the return is filed.

It is the notice period,if you filed return say on 31st october,after april the department cannot serve the notice, if any notice they want to serve it may be befor april.
