I am working as a Deputy Manager Finance in a company & responsible for tax deduction (TDS) in the Tax deduction Account Number (TAN) master data. I don't have digital signature.
My query is : Can i use digital signature of any Director of the company for authentication of TDS certificate in the Form 16/16A? Is there any specific provision under the Income Tax Act, 1961?

you can change Responisble Person Name in Traces than you can Director Digital Signature, better you can opt for Digital signature .

in today you can use any person digital sign who name in company payroll, name must be in 24Q TDs return , otherwise you cannnot the register the name of person as authorised on TRACES.gov.in.
