Dear All Friends...
I have receive a Draft from Income Tax Department for my previous year Income Tax Refund.
But on the draft the account number wrongly printed. So give me the information for what will be i do for my refund.
Tell me the procedure.

File 1549(1) Rectification request.

Please try the following procedure:-
i) Download the “Response Sheet” from the Income Tax website (www.incometaxindia. gov. in ) and take a printout of the same.
ii) If intimation is received, then the Response sheet will be sent along with it.
iii) Fill in the necessary fields in the Response sheet, Original Cancelled Cheque should be enclosed with it as a proof.
iv) Sign the response sheet and see that signature on the Response Sheet and the cancelled Cheque is same.
v) Mail the above by ordinary post to :-
INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT - CPC
POST BAG No.1
ELECTRONIC CITY POST OFFICE
BANGALORE-560100
KARNATAKA.
