Whether to do CA or CFA

29 May 2008 If suppose after becoming CA i dont want to practise and i want to go for employment. Then insted of doing CA i would have done CFA for better opportunities as CFA is prefered than CA.

So please advise me what to do...

29 May 2008 The following was the reply received from an expert of CA club, based on this i was asking the question to him.

Reply received:


yes, it is true, cfa have better understanding of finance than ca only due to their course structure which is based wholly on finance, while our institute expect us to be master of every field (which one can't). but on the other hand be informed that US cfa is many times preferred than Indian cfa (icfai hyd).

cfa will add value many times to a ca.
