We are from Tamilnadu and our products come under the 5% VAT category. What should the rate of CST be if goods are sold without C-Form to retail customers outside Tamilnadu?
Should it be 5% or 10%?

5% Only .It Cant Exceed VAT rate.

CA Ayush is Correct. CST is central act but the rates are based on the local vat. In tamilnadu, the vat rates at present are 5% and 14.5% and therefore if you sell these materials against c form it is only 2%. But if the same is sold to URD dealers, it is 5% and 14.5% respectively.
