Sir thanq very much had a little query further in the recent notification of FCI it was said that qualification ,age, experience will be reckoned as on 1-1-2010 as my exam date is dec2009 result date is feb 2010 will i be eligible for FCI

Good question! Here's how it generally works:
---
### What is the **Date of Qualification**?
* The **date of qualification** is usually the **date you *passed* the final exam**, i.e., the exam *result date*. * Even if you cleared the exam in December 2009, if the official result declaration (passing date) was in February 2010, then **February 2010** is considered your qualification date.
---
### Regarding FCI notification where qualification, age, experience are reckoned as on 1-1-2010:
* Since your **result date (qualification) is February 2010**, and the cutoff is 1-Jan-2010, **you would NOT be eligible** because as of 1-Jan-2010, you were not yet qualified. * Passing exam date (exam held in December) is not considered — what matters is the official date of passing.
---
### Summary:
| Factor | Your Status | | --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------- | | Exam date | December 2009 | | Result/qualification date | February 2010 | | Cutoff date in notification | 1 January 2010 | | Eligibility for FCI | Not eligible (qualification after cutoff) |
---
### What to do?
* For applications not specifying a cutoff date, you can mention **February 2010** as your date of qualification. * For jobs or notifications with a cutoff date before your result date, unfortunately, you may not qualify.
